·       The Central Intelligence Agency issues an annual book called the CIA World Fact Book that runs to hundreds of pages of paper. It is updated periodically at intervals during the year of publication, as soon as they have new information about a country whose name is included in the agency’s annual book.

-       The CIA’s annual The CIA World Fact Book contains information on history, people and society, government, economy, energy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 267 world entities. The Reference tab includes a diverse set of world, regional, national, ocean, and time zone maps; world flags and a country comparison function that classifies state information and data in more than 75 fields of the Fact Book! It also contains items related to detailed maps with new geopolitical data, statistics on the population of each country, with details on literacy rates, HIV prevalence, age structure, new data on military expenditures and capabilities, information on each country’s climate and natural hazards, details on prominent political parties and contact information for diplomatic consultation, facts about transport and communications infrastructure, information on student enrollment and characteristics of faculty, staff, financial resources and capital in the country, etc., from concise comprehensive detailed information covering every corner of each state starting from the colors of its flag to detailed precise statistical data... and the social and political composition of its society.

-       The World Factbook is prepared by the Central Intelligence Agency for use by U.S. government officials and members of Congress, and others, and the style, format, coverage, and content are designed to meet their specific requirements... The Factbook is considered an annual publication containing current facts and figures on all major areas for the countries on the agency’s list, which numbers 267 countries and entities included, as we noted previously, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. Alphabetically!

-       For example, the CIA World Fact Book 2020-2021 provides complete and up-to-date information about the countries of the world. This comprehensive guide is filled with data as previously indicated about politics, population, military expenditures and the economy for 2020 and looks ahead to 2021, and appendices are included with useful abbreviations, international environmental agreements, international organizations and groups, weight and measurement conversions, and more. It was originally designed for use by government officials, and this is an indispensable resource for students, travelers, journalists, and businessmen who want to know more about their world.!

-       This book is sold through Amazon, and payment and shipping arrangements... are documented and explained on the CIA’s webpage for the annual book.

-       There are publications issued by the Central Intelligence Agency that appear as a single one-page summary about each country (One Page Summaries). They address the main items for each country from the agency’s point of view..!!

-       I searched the agency’s World Fact Book for 2019 for the information written about Palestine... only the Palestinian Territories appeared to me in the Google search index... but only the West Bank page appeared to me... and for the sake of knowing the agency’s narrative about the West Bank and whether the page had been updated with information from the 2020 Deal of the Century, it did not appear, so the information about the West Bank (Background) was recorded as it appears below:

-       Since at least the fifteenth century BCE, the West Bank was under the control of many different peoples throughout its history; it was incorporated into the Ottoman Empire in the early sixteenth century. The West Bank fell to British forces during World War I, becoming part of the British Mandate for Palestine. In the aftermath of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, East Jordan seized the West Bank (later named Jordan), which annexed the West Bank in 1950; it was seized by Israel in the Six-Day War in 1967. Under a series of agreements known as the Oslo Accords signed between 1994 and 1999, Israel transferred responsibility for security and civil matters to the newly created Palestinian Authority. Areas of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. In 2000, the violent uprising or intifada began, and in 2001 negotiations to determine the permanent status of the West Bank and Gaza Strip stalled. Subsequent attempts to restart direct negotiations have not produced progress."

·       The book added:

-       Nearly 60% of the West Bank remains under exclusive Israeli military control. In early 2006, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) won a majority of votes in the Palestinian Legislative Council elections, and since 2007, the Palestinian Authority has administered areas of the West Bank under its control while Hamas retains de facto control of Gaza. Fatah, the dominant Palestinian political party in the West Bank, and Hamas have made several reconciliation attempts, but the factions have been unable to implement any agreements reached; the reconciliation agreement signed in October 2017 was not implemented. In December 2018, the Palestinian Constitutional Court dissolved the Palestinian Legislative Council and called for new legislative elections.

·      Information on Population Distribution (Population Distribution)

-       Palestinian settlements (Palestinian Settlements) are located in the central to the western half of the land; Jewish settlements are in pockets throughout, particularly in the northeast, north, central areas and around Jerusalem"

·       Geography - Note:

-       Landlocked, the highlands are the principal recharge area for the coastal aquifers in Israel; there are approximately 380 Israeli civilian sites, including about 213 settlements and 132 small communities in the settlement outposts in the West Bank and 35 sites in East Jerusalem (2017).

·       The data and statistical figures are accurate and it is a comprehensive reference about countries, but the labels and interpretations and the omission of some facts that they drop into the content, and the implications of the annual book... exude the agency’s intended narrative.!!.about any country in the world..but the terms and vocabulary of the Israeli military occupation and control on the West Bank page remain in last year’s 2019 annual book and were not updated with recent events in the region..there is a divergence between what American diplomats convey and announce, and the content of the Central Intelligence Agency’s records!!
