Financial Irregularities in the Economic Sector

- Activities of the Agricultural Risk Prevention and Insurance Fund in 2018

The State Audit and Administrative Control Bureau (SAACB) carried out an audit inspection of the activities of the Risk Prevention and Insurance Fund in view of its important role in managing risks that threaten agricultural work and mitigating their effects, seeking to care for small farmers and improve the investment and transformative environment of the agricultural sector, and the Bureau reached the following conclusions:
The Fund's weak ability to achieve the objectives for which it was established, as the agricultural sectors and crops subject to insurance were not specified, and the insured risks, the insurance conditions, its types and forms, and the premiums required to be paid by the farmers were not specified

The Fund did not implement investment projects or projects that contribute to the development of agricultural infrastructure that would reduce the risks of natural disasters.

Violations in the Fund's appointment process.. contrary to the amended Basic Law on occupying public positions on the basis of equal opportunity.. and the existence of a conflict of interest in the appointments..!!
