From the Depths of Books (6)
I was drawn, while reading the book "
Islam in Captivity"
... Who Stole the Mosque and Where Did It Go on Friday... Authored by Dr. Al-Sadiq Al-Nihum...The author's discussion describes the condition of the Arab nation and how it is fettered by the chains of its governments and cannot move nor chew democracy...I present below an excerpt from this precious book ...
The crux of the problem is that the Arab states cannot enter the era of joint-stock companies even with the help of experts, due to a basic deficiency in their administrative base, for Arab funds are not in the hands of Arabs, but in the hands of their governments, and in a financial form of thistype, the citizenis not a partner or shareholder in the homeland, but an employee in it. The very idea of the joint-stock company thus becomes an overt coup against the system of governance...That the Arab states may stand at the gate of knowledge for another thousand years without entering it, because the guardian of the treasury does not open the treasury door until he hears the password.... And the password is (freedom)...It is the release of the Arab citizen and Arab money from their long prison...
The password is (the people)... If the people regain their right to work, and public money truly becomes public money, the homeland will be transformed into a joint-stock company, and the joint-stock company will become a state run by the hands of the shareholders. The members of the board of directors will thus be exposed to accountability in the finest details, education will be directed to increase production, planning will be committed to developing the environment, and the state will enter the age of knowledge carrying a large basket of its fruits ..
........Without the people there is no basket......
