- From my review of some historical pamphlets on the emergence of the United States of America.. not for the purpose of taking the American citizenship exam..!!!.. but rather to ascertain the reality of this country that was inhabited by peoples called the Red Indians, who are the indigenous inhabitants, who, it is believed, came and crossed from the Alaska region in ancient times ... and the origin of these peoples is traced back to the Mongolian stock .. whose number was estimated, according to accounts, at about 50 million people... only about 5 million remained, according to what was announced, after they were destroyed by the colonizers from Europe, beginning with Spain.. then Britain, whose citizens and others coming from Europe colonized and settled, searching for wealth and work... at a time when Europe suffered unemployment and poverty... and conflicts... The British colonized the eastern coast of the United States of America... and established 13 colonies.. their beginning was the city of Jamestown.. in the state of Virginia.. and the naming of the state of Virginia was in honor of the British Queen the Virgin Elizabeth ... and that was in 1607.... The European colonists began to flock to this new land... and the thirteen colonies, called New England, declared the Declaration of Independence in 1776.. to form a federal union among themselves.. with the formation of a federal government... A Revolutionary American war was waged by the inhabitants of these colonies and they defeated Britain, and they set up the first constitution of the Union after driving out Great Britain .. and this constitution was in Philadelphia on 17-9-1787.... After that the Bill of Rights was signed... in 1791... which comprises 10 constitutional amendments... The system of slavery was widespread and dominant... and it was maintained for about a century after independence... until its abolition was declared, while racism and discrimination .. were also widespread and continued for two centuries... until they were officially eliminated..
- It is noticeable in the population censuses of the United States that the increase in population over the past two centuries was large and exceeded the natural birth rate, since immigrants to the United States are from other countries in astonishing numbers.... I reviewed the 1990 census page and followed the development of the population, and I was astounded, as the population of the United States of America according to the 1790 census was about 4 million people... and the area they occupied was about 2.3 million square kilometers... while in 1830 the population was 13 million people... with an area of 4.6 million square kilometers... while in 1850 the population was 23 million people, and the area they occupied 7.7 million square kilometers.. while in 1870 the population was about 39 million people, and the area they occupied was about 9.4 million square kilometers... and the area became fixed after the expansion of the population along the land of the current United States of America since that date.. until now... As for the population, it was about 50 million people in 1880, while in 1900 the population reached 76 million people, then the population increased in 1950 to become 151 million people... then in 1990 the population became about 248 million people.. to become in the latest population count of the United States of America in 2010 about 308 million people... It is worth noting that in the nineteenth century, the United States acquired lands from France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Mexico, and Russia... in addition to the United States having annexed the Republic of Texas and the Hawaiian Islands... The American Civil War occurred between the industrial Northern states and the agricultural Southern states... it ended with the victory of the Northerners... and the continuation of the federal system among the states.. The American economy appeared in 1870 as the strongest economy in the world.. according to the statistics and references that were consulted.
· The crux of the matter
- I have narrated this history to show how the emergence of the United States was relatively recent... by the time standards of peoples and nations. It is observed how migration to the United States flowed throughout the previous period.. since the seventeenth century.. and before.. and until now... In the immigration system, the United States of America is among the countries that have received the most immigrants.. and the United States still adopts the immigration system of "family reunification" that is, relatives, and the immigration system by the annual "diversity lottery", which was established by the U.S. Department of State in the 1990s at a rate of 50,000 coming from all over the world except industrial countries and some countries classified by the U.S. Department of State. To my knowledge, the United States uniquely operates this immigration lottery, officially under the supervision of the Department of State...... they also grant citizenship to any child born on American soil, in addition to other immigration programs under work contracts and many other programs.......
-
My mind wanders and I daydream when I recall that we are sons of one nation and one language, and largely one religion. History and other shared attributes and ties, yet the nationality laws in our Arab countries, especially the oil-rich ones.... cannot grant citizenship even if the expatriate and his children were born on that soil, and resided for decades in that country, participated in building the society in that country, yet the official authorities do not consider him a citizen, nor grant him citizenship for himself and his family after these years, nor any special status.... in addition to these countries not moving to receive refugees even in a humane manner.... We all remember the stories of Syrian, Palestinian and Iraqi refugees.. when they could not find anyone to shelter them from the wars of destruction that ravaged their countries, and the majority fled to Europe and America, and the Europeans received those who arrived and those who were spared from drowning in the high seas... but we did not hear of an Arab country, especially those with areas and wealth - oil-rich - announcing the reception of these refugees.... except for countries like Syria for Iraqis before its recent ordeal... and Jordan despite the hardship it suffers... and Lebanon to some extent and a small number in Egypt.... unlike Western countries where Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany, led the European countries to receive refugees without borders... As for the Arab countries, the Palestinian refugees who were uprooted from Iraq ... spent long days on the Iraqi-Syrian-Jordanian borders. Likewise the Palestinians on the Libyan-Egyptian border..... many of them died from snake and scorpion bites.. until non-Islamic countries such as Brazil and Chile and others stepped forward and said to them, welcome, we will heal your wounds...
America’s philosophy in its flexible immigration laws is based on the necessity of replenishing the country with sectors and ethnic diversities, and melting them into the American society, and giving them full rights and security..... among them arise the scientist, the engineer and the doctor ... in a society pervaded by freedom... and the immigrant to America coming from the Middle East compares what prevails in his home country, of repressive systems.. confiscation of freedom of expression, gagging of mouths... injustice.... hypocrisy and corruption... a society in which the citizen does not have clear, entrenched or protected rights....
- This does not mean that the United States, as a political system compared to the rest of the world, is ideal and humane; it is ugly, unjust and colonial.. Nor does it mean that American society is free of discrimination and injustice, but the law there guarantees you the freedom to complain.. and to obtain rights constitutionally......
- America advances.. and it is the first in the world.. economically and scientifically and in power... governed by laws from its legislative councils... the political administration implements what the Congress decides. The American immigration system is a system that brought millions of talents to America and gave them freedom and security to work and create... and here they are ... dominating the world...in every sense of the word!
