Morocco signs two new agreements with Israel

●      The Council of Advisers of Morocco by majority approved two agreements with Israel that were supported by 167 members, while 15 opposed them, and this comes after the Foreign Affairs, Defense, and Moroccans Residing Abroad committee.. earlier this December, unanimously approved all the agreements including, two agreements with Israel

●      And according to the Moroccan Hespress electronic newspaper, the matterconcernsa draftlaw, under which the agreementoneconomicandcommercialcooperationbetweenMoroccoand Israel, signedin Rabaton21-2-2022, and a draftlaw, under which the agreementon air services between Morocco and Israel signed in Rabat on 11-8-2021

●      The first agreement aims to increase the volume of exchange between Morocco and Israel, and to take all necessary steps to that end, and it stipulated the removal of all barriers to normal economic relations between the two parties, including discriminatory laws, regulations or procedures, and the air services agreement between Morocco and Israel aims to regulate flight operations between the two parties

●      Morocco had signed a tripartite agreement with the United States and Israel, under which Washington announced its recognition of the Moroccan Sahara as Moroccan, while Morocco announced its agreement to resume relations with Israel!

●      Morocco and Israel signed an unprecedented framework agreement for security cooperation in November last year, during a historic visit by Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz to the kingdom

●      It is noted that the security agreement signed by Morocco and Israel outlines security cooperation between the two countries in its various forms according to the Israeli side, and this allows Morocco to acquire high-technology Israeli security equipment easily, in addition to cooperation in operational planning and research and development

●      This agreement came a year after normalization of relations between the two countries, meaning a tripartite agreement in which the United States of America recognized Morocco's sovereignty over the Moroccan Sahara, which is disputed with the Polisario Front supported by Algeria.
