-        Turkey...detained the American-national pastor Andrew Brunson for two years following the events of the failed coup, on the charge of his connection with the organization of Fethullah Oghlu ..opposed to the rule of the Justice and Development Party...in Turkey..and his connection reached the Kurdistan Workers' Party....according to Turkey's allegations..He was then released some time ago for health reasons, but he was placed under house arrest..while the procedures of his trial continued, and the Turkish court later confirmed the existence of the American pastor's guilt, and therefore required his imprisonment... noting that the pastor had been residing in Turkey in the city of Izmir for 23 years...where he tended a small evangelical church with followers numbering about 25 individuals...- according to press reports-..Turkey also offered a year ago to exchange the American pastor for Abdullah Gül...but the offer was rejected by the United States of America.

-        The United States of America demanded that Turkey release the pastor unconditionally..and quickly..and Turkey accused the United States of intervening in the Turkish judicial system, and the United States took punitive measures against two Turkish government ministers, namely the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Interior, and froze their movable and immovable assets in the United States....then the United States of America...increased customs duties on some Turkish goods..exported to it....and the value of the Turkish lira was affected and fell rapidly ...etc. of the events we follow daily in this field..."

-        The question.???..Were these American sanctions on Turkey, because of the non-release of Pastor Brunson..who holds American nationality....therefore the United States of America...is defending its American citizen..abroad..according to provisions of the American Constitution....and thus it is a right...or are there other ...hidden...matters..? But!!! if defending the American citizen wherever found....is truly...firm...why did the United States of America ...not defend its citizen Rachel Corrie, the American Jewish activist...who was killed by the bulldozers of the Israeli occupation authorities...while she was trying to stop these bulldozers from demolishing the house of a Palestinian citizen in the Gaza Strip in 2003...a bulldozer of the Israeli settlement tore her body apart...yet the United States adopted the Israeli narrative that the case was an accident..!!!.., whereby the Israeli bulldozer driver did not see the activist Rachel Corrie in front of him....and therefore the United States of America did not defend its citizen according to the Constitution...!

-        However, the family of the late Rachel Corrie pursued their daughter's rights, bringing a lawsuit in 2005 in Haifa, ..but the judge.decided that the Israeli state is not responsible for any "damage incurred" because the incident occurred during activities he described as a case of war....and the file was closed...!!

-        Just as the United States of America did not defend the Saudi citizen Samar Badawi, the activist on Saudi women's rights...who holds American nationality...where holding the American passport requires prior documents of passports of other countries....Samar Badawi is also the recipient of an American international award ...which the former United States Secretary of State and wife of the former American President Obama presented to her in 2012..(the International Women of Courage Award)..and Saudi Arabia imprisoned her along with other human rights activists...and caused a crisis between Canada and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia...and the United States of America stood aside in this case...from Canada..but it urged the two countries to resolve their dispute diplomatically and calmly...and there are many cases in the same vein.

-        It is colonial arrogance, with double standards...the thick stick......for whoever says no ....to the United States of America without dread.!
