-        Only the Palestinians, among the peoples of the earth, have two states: Northern Palestine in Ramallah and Southern Palestine in the Strip!

-        Perhaps in the future they will be like the two Koreas: one state making washing machines and another launching satellites!
And they also have a third Palestine, that old, fully formed one, which they call the historical one, and they allocate it to the old men in nursing homes, and for poets to use!

-    They have two governments, one liberal-moderate, and another that declares it will not abandon the banner of jihad!
They have three seas: one occupied, another “dead”, and one in Gaza where, as is customary, the poor die on its shore in naive picnics, between war and war!

-        They also have, I mean the Palestinians, two parliaments: one called the “Legislative” and the other the “National”, and in each country they have an embassy and a cemetery of martyrs, and they have a huge repository of factions of every orientation, creed and ideology, and they have citizens who are excessive in their loyalty and in their crying from Shatila Camp to the narrowest street in Tibet!
They have two programs for liberation, independence and state-building: one claims rationality and wisdom and adopts “patience” as a long-term strategy, and another is infatuated with manufacturing missiles from water pipes and dreams of Acre!
..and they have numerous presidents, all of them leaders and wise men, indeed their experience in leadership has made them establish small states before that in the Vakilani(?) and in Tunisia etc.... and they were able to rule capably and strictly in all those countries except in their own!

-        Last year two Christian candidates competed for the presidency of Ecuador, and one of them won, both of them of Palestinian origin!

-        They have the first qibla for Muslims, and from them Christ the Lord emerged.

-        They export roses from Gaza to the Netherlands, and tomatoes to Europe, and free-flowing hair (literally “free poetry”/”unbound hair” — unclear), molokhia, and olives, and their black hattah has become a symbol of protest and freedom in every demonstration from supporters of Chávez to anti-globalization protesters in Davos, to activists in the rallies swearing allegiance to President Omar Hassan al-Bashir!

-        They have two ministers of the interior and half the population are detained in Israeli prisons, and two ministers of health and three quarters of the population are ill, and three foreign ministers and no one recognizes them as a fully sovereign state!
Two official police uniforms and no security or safety, five flags for the country but no country, two televisions and two weeklies and two feature films for the evening.. and no hero wins at the end of the film!

-    Two crossings and no one crosses, two airports and not a single little bird can fly.
Two intelligence agencies and no one knows whether it will rain the next night or blood and... shells!
They have from the public and private wealth and funds enough to tender for building a five-story state, and enough experts to make it a great and productive state, and enough corrupt people to bankrupt it in five days!
They entered the Guinness Book by the number of martyrs, and the number of agents, and the number of prophets, and the number of poets, and by the largest plate of tabbouleh they held in Ramallah.. despite the economic siege and despite the scarcity of bulgur and oil!

-        They have a national football team whose players are distributed among clubs in more than seven European countries, and they show up when the call of duty is made.. the football duty!

-        The Palestinians have enough to establish a state, they have everything, everything, perhaps they only lack the will and a tennis team!
