Assassinations of Freedom in the Arab World

Between the phenomena of the distant yesterday and the customs of the near today.

-       It may not be surprising what happened to Khaled Al-Khashoggi: an abduction..and a gruesome killing as is told..in his country’s Saudi consulate..in Istanbul...and among previous liquidation stories..one of which, for example....concerns another Saudi citizen, the late Nasser Al-Saeed...years ago when Al-Saeed had written a book about the history of the Saudi royal family...and Saudi Arabia then considered it defamation and an affront to its origins, so he was abducted from Lebanon by a Palestinian..and handed over to the Saudi authorities who threw him out of a plane into the Empty Quarter desert...in return for $5 million..that was paid to the Palestinian intermediary...

-       As for the story of "Mehdi Ben Barka," he was the leader and founder of the modern Moroccan left movement in the last century...Mehdi Ben Barka was born in Rabat in 1920..in Morocco..and he was a brilliant mathematics professor and a Moroccan and international politician..he became in 1945 the head of the Istiqlal Party of Morocco..
He resigned from the party in 1959..then left Morocco in 1963 due to the narrowing of the margins of freedom and democracy in Morocco, and a death sentence was issued in absentia against him while he was outside Morocco due to his accusation of participating in a conspiracy to assassinate King Mohamed V.!!

-       In the summer of 1963..he wanted to return to the homeland on the basis of promises to carry out a democratic opening in Morocco..in addition to his intent to participate principally in preparing the Tricontinental Conference about the unity of the peoples of these continents and the concepts of international socialism and liberation, which was to be held in Havana in 1966..

-       On 29-10-1965..at exactly 12:30...Mehdi Ben Barka was approached in the Latin Quarter in the French capital by two policemen who took him to a villa in the suburbs of Paris...Ben Barka had an appointment with a French film director in front of the restaurant Le Procope on Rue Saint-Germain in the heart of the French capital..to prepare a film about liberation movements, and this director was a participant in the kidnapping scenario..where the two policemen asked him to accompany them in a police car...From that time until now he disappeared and his body vanished..and the French police only revealed years later what the two policemen who kidnapped him had stated..namely that they confessed that they had kidnapped him in coordination with the Moroccan intelligence services...and that they took him to a villa located in the suburbs of Paris where they saw General Mohamed Oufkir, the Moroccan Minister of the Interior at the time..and with him Ahmed Dlimi, the architect of Moroccan intelligence, and others from his men..and that Ben Barka died during interrogation and torture.!!! This account was agreed upon among the parties participating in the crime.!!! Including Mossad and the American intelligence - CIA --, the French intelligence and the Moroccan intelligence, and other participants......Participants in the crime acknowledged that the body was buried on the Seine near the villa where he had been held..and Ahmed El-Bukhari, the former Moroccan intelligence agent who took part in the abduction and liquidation of Mehdi Ben Barka....said in 2001 that the body was transported after the assassination to Rabat on board a Moroccan military plane, and it was dissolved in an acid vat.!!! in one of the secret premises of the Moroccan intelligence...
All the secret French documents were declassified after forty years had passed since the events, yet the documents on the kidnapping of the internationalist Moroccan socialist leader Mehdi Ben Barka were not declassified due to reasons of defence secrecy..and their publication was prohibited..

-       King Hassan II said who killed Mehdi Ben Barka..was the one who conspired against him and tried to assassinate him, referring to General Mohamed Oufkir and General Ahmed Dlimi. (A scapegoat!!). And according to official Moroccan sources, King Mohammed VI..informed those concerned that he does not know about the Mehdi Ben Barka file!!! and that his late father did not brief him on anything.!!!.

-       After El-Bukhari — the former Moroccan intelligence agent — gave what he gave..of details about the abduction and assassination of Mehdi Ben Barka..the Socialist Union of Popular Forces, the main party in the government, filed a complaint with the Moroccan judiciary to investigate El-Bukhari — the aforementioned — regarding what he said about their leader...especially since El-Bukhari mentioned places where preparations and execution took place..and names of those who participated at all stages..including some who are still alive..and Ben Barka’s family in France requested that the investigating judge in the case formally hear El-Bukhari..but the Moroccan authorities said that the Socialist Union’s complaint file was lost!!!...At the same time..El-Bukhari was prevented from traveling and his passport was confiscated..after a case was filed against him accusing him of a check without funds..!!!

-       (The kings of Morocco..from 1928 until now: King Mohammed V ruled from 1928 until 1961, Hassan II ruled from 1961 until 1999, and the current king Mohammed VI has ruled from 1999 until now..)

-    The story of Mehdi Ben Barka..yesterday....is similar to the story of Khaled Al-Khashoggi..today...
in that the liquidation took place on foreign soil......and a single agreed narrative was constructed to obscure the identity of the true perpetrator..and to absolve the highest official of the country....who swears on a hundred oaths that he knows nothing about abduction operations....and scapegoats are chosen to be sacrificed to protect the top of the power pyramid..in addition to an agreed-upon narrative..that the victim died during interrogation.....!! They all read from the same sheikh!!!

-       These stories and many others..on the altar of freedom.....in the Arab world...bear the same DNA...............of some of the Arab rulers!!!
