I Will Not Close My Mouth: "The Bullet Is Still in My Pocket"

-        The bullet is not live ammunition.. as might immediately come to mind!!.. Nor is it a reference to that Arab film I watched many times in the distant past.. in 1974!!... Rather, my weapon and your weapon is faith. The good faith.!! Faith in our right to exist.... on our land that we inherited from the thirtieth grandfather ... ours ... I am not tribal in the sense of invasion and raids ... seeking spoils... for beasts. in our bosoms..!! Rather I am tribal... in standing with the sons of this one Arab nation..... the noble nation engraved in our minds... and not the sum of what is registered at the United Nations ...or even at the Arab League... the nation united by language and purpose and destiny and history and geography and hearts and feelings, all crowned by religion.... by religion together and equally Islamic and Christian...!!

-        Faith ....in God ... and in His messengers... and in the youth of this one nation ..and its elders, men and women... its children.. in its soil and sky and its beasts and birds... and its plants... and in the first human who was born and lived among our folds.... all of this coupled with prayer to God to preserve the precious wealth of this nation... for its wealth is not in its oil or its gas.!!... But in its youth... the ammunition of this nation... its weapon.. and its human bullets.. which do not age with the drifting of rocks and soils... as a result of dropping weapons of destruction on them.. and the conspiracies ... around them that blast every structure ... and every greenery by colonialism.. and its auxiliaries... in all their kinds.. whether cultural or economic, military or civilian... However such weapons do not and will not sweep away the will and the faith in your right... that you are a strong nation even when you are fighting among yourselves....!! Close your wounds ..and heal them... and sit with one another ... manage your affairs... and do not let sedition eat within you.... End the division..!! Rather the divisions...!! Here and there.. unite your ranks.... for you are the victors...!!
Youth of this nation .....you are those who stop the bleeding of this nation... for you are our choice and our hope... Do not let colonialism and settlement ..split your ranks... Do not let your spiritual morale ..fade.!!. As a result of taking in some of the dead who were first among us as if they are the living!! Enemies who appear alive but are truly and inevitably fleeting..!!... they want to subdue you through them .!!. They will not and cannot.... Stop the killing and fighting among yourselves... and consider that a mistake.... Dissolve it with acids !!.. so that no trace remains ..not even a stain on the brow of any one of us, whether from those who lived near the seas or lived in the high mountains... in the plains and the deserts ... .!! Hold fast to your glorious history and take from it the best.. boast of it ..but do not be touched by arrogance... by the passage of time...!!

-        We experienced in our lessons ..in the sciences long ago ... the principle of barter. without hard currency!! .. a student’s loaf of bread... in exchange for a lesson.. an arithmetic lesson... or a language lesson ... from the teacher.!!! And our schoolbags... were a piece of cloth ... with a cover made of the same cloth that our mothers or our aunts or our neighbors sewed to preserve some books .!!.. And we carved our present in the rock..! As for our future it is you.. our good offspring....!! You studied or are studying the sciences using digital tablets.. the age of technology.... so do not hesitate to draw your knowledge from any place and by any modern means.. so that you will.... be in the vanguard of the age you belong to.. Do not shut your minds to.... the modest modernity!!... Be audacious !!... in pursuing your rights with the tools of your era..!!. But with the manners of your heritage...!!

-        Youth of this nation...... I will not borrow some lines of poetry to implore you !!... for you are the ones who carry the banner ... the banner of change .... Arm yourselves with knowledge.... and work... together. and jointly....!!

-        Throughout the previous three nights, and until this morning... I followed the news of the American midterm elections for the US House of Representatives and the Senate... and I felt that what is happening there matters to me here..!! A change occurred made by the American youth... when the Democrats won the majority ..they had been a minority.. in the first chamber.. they had obtained 227 members and the Republicans 207.. members.And one member remained; I did not wait to see who it was!!.. and the number of members of the House is 435 members. The Democrats added 35 additional members. So they obtained the majority.. As for the Senate, the Republicans obtained the majority, I saw the latest statistics before I wrote this post: 51 members.. compared to 44 members from the Democrats.. and the Senate is 100 members.... What does this mean? ..It means that the American people ..wanted to change the equation when their ruler ..President Trump the Republican ..and who is supported by a majority in both chambers — the House and the Senate — was exercising broad powers that did not please many.... since he enjoyed wide latitude as a result of the chambers’ support.. These elections came to limit his free hand... For the passage of laws there.. is in the House of Representatives.. and they work according to their laws... which they enact in their current lives.. Any laws on all subjects including laws on immigration and health and women and the economy... on which there was disagreement between the two parties.. will be enacted ..and ratified in both chambers.. for laws are not individual. That is these elections produced a change... to safeguard the Constitution... they have... And I liked a comment from Ms. Nancy, the House Democratic minority leader, who is from the State of California... She said that tomorrow.. that is today for us... with the time difference – the day after the elections – is a new historic day in America, and that the Democrats will not fight the Republicans.... and this — as Trump’s advisor pointed out — the Democrats’ successes do not mean that they will resist the president and depose him... But there will be work for everyone together and jointly – for them also together and jointly with another flavor – to elevate the standing of American society... and to safeguard the Constitution...!! And a gesture I always like about elections there is that the loser in the election congratulates the successful one from the other party with all joy and delight and without hatred..... How? ..they do not have in their vocabulary or in theirs any manifestos ..for severing.. except the wooden saws in their forests..!!
