-        In the context of the booklet "Niqash" by the Libyan intellectual Al-Sadiq Al-Niyahum, the question of finding a framework for the search for the self and discovering the voice of the human conscience in society amid the crowd of voices was one of its main themes, where he compared the intellectual sleep that the Arab states experienced two decades ago — and which I see still exists in most of them up to now — to a hypnotic sleep no different from the ordinary phenomenon of hypnotic suggestion; the individual behaves with a will that is outside him, and at the same time feels that he is acting of his own free will..!!..This is not the human freedom we seek!, ..the person acts with a will originating from within him, but it is not a will founded on responsiveness but founded on the degree of reflection..."

-        The ruling regimes in the Arab world have educated and instructed their peoples by several means, not all of them positive, resembling hypnotic suggestion: what they do in terms of projects and signing agreements, and what they put forward in slogans, is presented as right. And that it is in the interest of society each in its own way and that it is the duty of these societies to defend it.. From reality as it appears, the control of these regimes over most of their societies has manifested like hypnotic suggestion; they control the reactions of these peoples. For example, we see most of our Arab peoples have not moved in organized mass demonstrations, at least, to confront serious political events that affect the future of Arab generations, such as the American recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish state in Palestine.. Just as they have begun to disburse, from sovereign wealth funds in some Arab countries for example, funds allocated to future generations, enormous sums to other countries, exposing the balances of these funds to worrying levels, knowing that these sovereign wealth funds were created so that they not be tampered with under any circumstance; rather, these regimes marketed this necessity...until society for the most part became convinced of what happened...in light of the erasure of facts by all means....

-         It is the lost freedom in all its forms in our Arab world.
