Official Arab and Islamic Silence… Until When? (Fear God… Intentions Are Not Sincere)

-        In the face of the cries of the Palestinians, who have been subjected for more than 75 years to a war of extermination, starvation, siege, occupation, displacement, destruction, and settlement, and most recently to the war of extermination for five months starting from 7 October 2023, which still claims the lives of Palestinians openly and publicly at the hands of the Israeli occupation forces, the number of martyrs, wounded and missing in the Gaza Strip has reached more than one hundred and ten thousand people, most of them women and children... Yet they, meaning the Palestinians, have not ("رموا الخواص")—colloquially, they have not lost hope—in their hope in their Arab and Islamic ummah... to rescue them and to stop the firing, by using their influence in the world. The Palestinians still consider themselves part of a single Arab and Islamic nation. And this cry of the Palestinians... with hope... (Where are you, Arabs.... Where are you, Muslims)!!.

-        People’s bewilderment rises over the reasons for this silence and betrayal; in bewilderment we have witnessed events and clear signs of the abandonment of the League of Arab States and the Organization of the Islamic Conference (now the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation) by most of their member states from taking serious action and showing a genuine desire to help stop the firing of the war of extermination against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip..... This was clear, for example, when an emergency Arab summit was requested because of the devastating Israeli war on the Gaza Strip... and the astonishment was at the delay in convening that summit, which was postponed and convened after thirty-five days from the start of the Israeli occupation army and its partners’ war of destruction and extermination on the Gaza Strip... and after calling on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to hold a joint summit... and after disputes and bitterness over the wording of the final communique in advance, according to the press... During that period thousands of Palestinian women and children were killed... Out of the summit emerged a committee composed of some Arab foreign ministers, headed by the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, which undertook a tour of some influential countries of the world to explain the Arab position and to call on the international community to stop the firing...!! That committee visited the United Nations... spoke... innovated, then disappeared from view. More than 113 days have passed since the summit was held... and the committee... has no news or trace after that!! On the contrary, the massacres intensified against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip in a systematic manner, reaching mass extermination, starvation, and thirsting wars, the height of brutality and oppression, committed before everyone’s eyes and on the screens of Arab and foreign television... and there is no movement from those close by... their swollen lips did not utter a single substantive word of real solidarity!.

-        To whom do the Palestinians complain their concern? ..The peoples of the majority of Arab countries first, and the peoples of the majority of Islamic countries, are forbidden from showing support for the Palestinians except according to a prescription from the security apparatuses in those countries, while some Arab states, according to circulating reports, participate in supplying goods and merchandise to the Israelis by truck via a land corridor through Arab countries after navigation for the ships loaded and heading via the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea to Israel was prevented by Ansar Allah (the Houthis) in Yemen..!

-        In contrast, the peoples of the entire world have been and remain proactive in organizing strong solidarity demonstrations with tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands, of people in the streets of most countries of the world, and they continue to do so to this day. The burning of the American Marine pilot martyr Ron Buschnell himself in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington on 25-2-2024..... as a protest against the war of extermination in which the United States participates with Israel against the Gaza Strip... is an example of spiritual solidarity for the Palestinians and humanity... He was preceded by Rachel Corrie on 16 March 2003, when she was crushed by the wheels of an Israeli military bulldozer and killed as she tried to prevent it from demolishing civilian buildings of Palestinians in the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip..!

-        As for former British Member of Parliament George Galloway, he won a seat in the British "House" (Commons), and dedicated his victory to Gaza, describing his campaign as "a referendum on Gaza".

-        What the Republic of South Africa has done and offered to the Palestinians is a stance worthy of respect, appreciation and gratitude... when it brought a case against Israel before the International Court of Justice for committing genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip... and took upon itself to pursue Israel and hold it accountable before international justice... to the end..!

-        In this regard, legal expert at Qatar University, Dr. Ahmed Jamil Azm, followed in an article on the Al Jazeera podcast dated 12-1-2024, that the United States in the past exerted great pressure on the Palestinians so that they would not go to international law, pointing out that former US President Barack Obama told Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas—when Palestine sought permanent membership in the United Nations, to join international organizations and enter into international agreements—"You are like someone using a nuclear bomb."!

-        He thus means that there are formal American reservations to Israel to work to prevent Palestinians and Arabs from resorting to international law and international organizations, and to prevent Palestine’s membership even in international frameworks. This reminds us of UNESCO— for example—and other organizations, from which the United States withdrew and froze its membership in response to the organization’s acceptance of Palestine’s membership.

-        Legal expert Ahmed Jamil Azm concluded that the failure of Arab states to resort to the International Court of Justice is due primarily to American pressure. This explains why some Arab states did not deposit their ratifications and endorsements of South Africa’s case at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.... while many countries in Latin America took this action and strengthened South Africa’s position before the court... and some African countries did likewise.

-        At the same time, the United States maintains military bases in most Arab countries... and some of these Arab states deny the existence of such bases in their countries, despite US confirmation of the existence of bases for it in this or that Arab country. These bases in themselves are a restriction on the freedom of the country in which such bases are located (at least), but the reality of what is hidden is greater.!.

-        We see in the truthful statement made by President of the Federative Republic of Brazil Luis Inácio Lula da Silva the peak of genuine humanitarian support for the Palestinians, as well as President of Colombia Gustavo Petro, where they considered this genocide of the Palestinians unprecedented in human history, except as we heard of the Nazi genocide of the Jews "the Holocaust," and these countries cut their relations with Israel with full force and determination. Those countries were not united with us by nationality, language, religion, or even a single tribe..!

-        In addition, there are Arab states that have decided to normalize their relations with occupied Israel, and others that await their turn to complete normalization with Israel..! And there is the statement by former US President Donald Trump on 22-11-2018 in Florida, in response to reporters defending his position on the murder of Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in October, which clarifies the degree of some Arab states’ alignment with the American orbit, where President Trump said in that statement that without Riyadh, Washington’s “strong ally,” Israel would be forced to “leave” the region, adding at the time: that "Israel would be in big trouble without Saudi Arabia".

-       I asked artificial intelligence what, in its view, are the reasons for the failure of Arab and Islamic countries — the official regimes — to assist the Gaza Strip in what it faces of a war of extermination by the Israeli occupation army. It answered: “political divisions among Arab countries, fear of escalation, prioritization of national interests, the historical context, the lack of unity, the dynamics of international relations..!”

-       So do not be surprised by the silence of those close by... And it is better to avert one’s gaze from appealing to the Arab and Islamic countries... For over time we have seen previously that there were massacres by the American occupation in Iraq and Syria, and Israel’s invasion of Lebanon to eliminate the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)... And former US President Trump recognized Jerusalem as the eternal capital of the Jews, etc., and other events, and none of the Arab and Islamic countries uttered a word to restore dignity, except denunciations and condemnations in some events. And everyone bowed their heads...!

-       In light of this, the Palestinians must rely on themselves first, and be truly united... in the face of the war of extermination against their people everywhere... because the Palestine cause, and the rights of Palestinian refugees to return, and the right to self-determination, according to United Nations resolutions, are on a path to extermination, erasure, and obliteration by the occupation, the United States, and some countries.... And the ongoing attempts to topple the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) that lie before us are only evidence of the foregoing, ,,,... And the Palestinians must change their mode of thinking and the management of their affairs so that it is according to a genuine democracy resulting from general elections that preserve the right to freedom of opinion... and guarantee public freedoms, and include representatives of the Palestinian diaspora and give them... greater weight in the legislative, national, and consultative councils... who are entrusted with a real role in the public affairs of the Palestinians... after they have shown strong and influential struggle in the places of their residence across all parts of the world... with their friends from Arab and Islamic communities and the free people of the world, and have driven global public pressure and mobilized public opinion... in favor of the Palestinian cause, protecting the Palestinians and achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.., and changing the positions of politicians in most countries of the world in favor of the Palestinian cause...... The role of the Palestinian expatriates and their friends in the world in conducting the campaign to boycott Israel and the companies that deal with it has been large and has achieved results with tangible impact..! As for our steadfast Palestinian people inside Palestine of 1948... they are a complete, genuine, and steadfast support for their Palestinian people all over the world, and ties and links with them must remain obligatory and sustainable, and all of that is stipulated in the Palestinian constitution..!
