- Remember well the Arabic proverb: "The hen (chicken) that scratched ... scratched on its own head."...
- Shah of Iran "Mohammad Reza Pahlavi" the former Emperor of Iran.... his country's capital "Tehran" was a spot from which the greats managed the region, and at times the world, as it was the meeting place for the conference of the three greats " Stalin - Russia -, Churchill - Britain -, and Roosevelt - the United States of America -. in 1943, where wartime and postwar planning and management were conducted...as was later reflected in the Yalta conference, and how the division of Europe was sketched in Tehran..!
- President Roosevelt" at that conference chose to stay in the Soviet embassy residence in Tehran...during the course of the mentioned conference...and his friendship with Stalin arose and developed during this period...and he declared shortly after the end of the conference and his return to his country...he said to the American people.."I can say that Marshal Stalin and I were in extremely good accord" !! American-Iranian relations were distinctive and very strong during the Shah's days and before that his father's...., and the United States intervened directly when Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh, the Iranian prime minister, carried out his revolution against the Shah and nationalized the oil in 1953...which prompted the United States to carry out a counter-coup to protect the regime and its interests, and restored the Shah to his throne, despite the overwhelming Iranian popular support for Dr. Mossadegh at that time..
- And SAVAK - the Iranian intelligence - struck terror, at a time when Iran acted as the policeman in the Gulf, without any challenge... and coordination and cooperation between the CIA and the Shah's regime were active, as there was a representative of the Central Intelligence Agency who met weekly with the Shah for two hours every Saturday..and over the years, to discuss regional developments and monitor events, and to draw plans...There was no one in the Middle East...closer to Washington than Tehran at that time, including Israel...Not a single move took place in the Middle East,... except with the knowledge of SAVAK and the CIA......And due to the prominence of this relationship between the two countries, "Richard Helms" then Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, was appointed as United States Ambassador to Tehran..in 1973.!!!
- And over decades of its relationship with the United States, Iran served and implemented all American policies and plans in the Middle East...and Central Asia..and during the Cold War with the Soviet Union, since Iran had a long border with the Soviet Union to the north...it was America's moving hand in the region...and a source of oil ...as well.
-
However, according to reliable sources, as presented in these information sources, the relationship began to change prior to the Islamic Revolution led by Imam Khomeini...where the American administration felt that the Shah's self-confidence had become the dominant characteristic, when the Shah sensed that the Americans needed him more than he needed them, and the two sides began spying on each other; the Shah tried to recruit agents
for himself in the American embassy in Tehran..and likewise,
the American side tried to recruit agents for them in the Shah's palace...and SAVAK head "Nematollah Nassiri" revealed during his arrest by elements of the Iranian Revolution and shortly before his execution, the name of SAVAK's representative in the American embassy...his code name was.."Hafez"....who
was interrogated by elements of the Iranian Revolution, and provided them with the content of telegrams between the American embassy and the American State Department, after the revolution, which concerned the fate of the Shah of Iran....and the possibility of sending him to the United States of America..as his permanent exile..
All this alliance, which was unparalleled in
its strength and cohesion and
details.. except partially in the Gulf now...but
not on equal terms with America, as Iran used to be equal ...with America..in
playing roles....
All that..did not avail Iran ...its favors ...and Iran has now become enemy number one, and a supporter of terrorism on America's list of enemies...after having been number one on the list of allies...in the American classification, and Iran's cooperation with the American administration in its invasion and destruction of Iraq did not avail Iran, where the Islamic Iran was considered an ally of understanding and coordination with the Americans...in destroying Iraq..in the two Gulf wars..noting that Iran held grudges against the late Iraqi President "Saddam Hussein" because he waged an eight-year war ..against
Iran ...with a U.S. green light, and Gulf funding......according to the information...obtained.
- All this cohesion between the American and Iranian sides, and the intertwined and shared interests...did not secure a special position for Iran with America, rather the opposite, for the American administration abandoned the Shah of Iran ...when the Islamic Revolution led by Khomeini occurred...and it no longer even allowed the Shah to come or stay in the United States even for humanitarian reasons for medical treatment....
- It was evident from the United States' attempt to rapprochement with the new regime after the revolution led by Khomeini, as Cyrus Vance, U.S. Secretary of State at that time, told Ibrahim Yazdi, the foreign minister of the new government after the Islamic Revolution....saying "the Americans want the revolutionary government to understand that the Shah, from the American point of view, has completely ended"...and this was confirmed by the Shah, at Cairo International Airport, during Sadat's reception of him for a permanent stay in Egypt; he said to Sadat " America deceived me" and his eyes welled with tears....!!!
-
It is known that the American administration abandoned "
Nationalist China" "- Taiwan previously called Formosa, in the face of its vital interests with the People's Republic of China which began to rise strongly..in those days....
And America abandoned many international
agreements concluded with other countries, without any embarrassment, the latest of which was the nuclear agreement with Iran..and with the other five countries...because the new American administration felt that its interests were not
adequately met....in this agreement... in addition to the presence of an..Israel..pressure..
- Shah-era Iran served America far more than the current Gulf Arab service to the American administration...but there is no guarantee of durability and stability of these relations ....and it has become clear that the American administration classifies Arab states individually in its dealings, according to varying standards and degrees, and it differentiates between one and another of the Arab countries, until conflict erupts within the same household...as is evident before us..
- The New Middle East project ...requires creative chaos ..by which the borders between the region's states are broken...and the cards are shuffled, and division fostered...so that no country trusts another....whether Arab or otherwise, in addition to manufacturing enemies ..and directing the Arab states to change their priority lists according to the American-defined definition of the enemy..which is now Iran!!!! .Which brought Israel into and will bring Israel into...the new project, according to the principle my enemy's enemy is my friend, after fabricating the sectarian classification ..and the terms of terrorism..whose usage limits cannot be fully determined or precisely defined.
- The American administration cannot drop its interest in Iran...in any case...and if it is forced to choose between Iran and the Gulf Arabs..it will choose the regional policeman Iran at the time it chooses....and here the American administration is trying to woo Iran, after implying that some of its policies will be adjusted, and that America is ready to sit with the Iranians...even if the American administration imposes harsh sanctions on Iran....( This is after Putin and Trump met in Helsinki in recent weeks.)...for the Americans recognize Iran as a regional power capable of imposing itself and its policies...But, in contrast, the American administration has not classified any of the Arab states as a regional power...on the level of Iran....and we witness the military events whereby America commissioned a coalition of Arab states to destroy Yemen, and to fight..in the end, prolonging the war, and not allowing either side to win decisive battles so that the American administration can draw and classify new geographic boundaries...and borders for the competing wills in the region.....to weaken them, according to the schedules of its agendas..in order to market states ....to serve its interests
- I hope that the Arabs, including the Gulf states...do not fall into the circle of regret....on a day when neither wealth nor status will help...!! For you ate the day the white bull was eaten....so take heed.."and love one another before you become extinct."...!!!..Do not accept the sectarian classification and sorting that Israel and America insert..nor accept incitement, even against each other, because it brings destruction upon all parties...who share one religion for most of their populations.....Iran and the Arabs, if they have good intentions....stand together in a single front.....wishing that the eyes of Arab rulers do not well with tears as they head to their forced exiles.....after an American adjustment, to forthcoming Arab Spring programs..and multiple deals of the centuries....Take heed !!!....Do not be ruled by tribalism....nor let your hearts beautify injustice toward kinsmen...they are your family....and your relatives...and you row in the same boat...!!
